Face
it, there isn’t anyone that doesn’t love a great fairy tale and a happily ever after ending. Whether it is an old fashioned Disney movie with the Prince
finding his Princess, or a modern day romance, we all live vicariously through
it. Enter a brand new project “Newlywed and Broke”. Billed as a modern day I
Love Lucy, this new web series will use comedy to feature a couple dealing with the strife of every day life that most of us have faced at one time or another in
our lives-job loss and financial hardships.
Each episode will feature a new way the couple struggle to make and then
save money.
In today’s world, as evidenced by the
current Emmy nominations, new shows don’t only turn up on your television
screen-they can be brought to you in all sorts of ways and this is just such a
series. Like so many others, our
Newlywed and Broke couple are working through Indiegogo to get the project
started.
The goal of the company’s Indiegogo campaign was to raise
$25,000 to produce a TV quality web series that will first air on the Newlywed and Broke website and that
goal has already been surpassed but it’s not too late for you to help be a
Fairy Godmother to our happily ever after couple. Check out their fund raising
site at http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/newlywed-and-broke-a-new-single-camera-comedy and
all the great perks they are offering for contributions: For as little as $1
where you will get a great thank you video – all the way up to having yourself
written into a webisode for $5,000! Don’t we all want to help make dreams come
true?
Here’s a short video
