Anything Goes Saturday - Disney Hidden Magic

DISNEY MAGIC

Did you know you can get your hair cut at the Magic Kingdom?  Yes you can and just like everything else at Disney it is just as magical.
On Main Street tucked back into the corner just past the Firehouse and next to the Emporium is the Harmony Barber Shop.  This barber shop fits right in on Main Street as its décor is turn-of-the-century, even the barber chairs.   “First Haircuts” is the establishment’s specialty. Children who receive their first haircut are treated to surprises, including bubbles, Mickey Mouse stickers, an extra-special “My 1st Haircut” set of Mouse Ears, special “pixie dust” and a certificate.

You know your husband loves you when he does this for you:
I always wanted to get our boys haircut there, but every time I remembered the line was out the door.  This past May we walked in the park and walked over to the Firehouse and saw there was no line, my husband and our friend both got their haircut and a Mickey put into their hair with colored gel.  Both got a really good haircut, which I think was around 20.00 and then an additional $5.00 for the colored gel.  The barber took their time with everyone that was in there and it seemed like no one was rushed at all, they even sprinkled our friends daughter with Disney glitter.  This shop sees around 400 to 500 people a week, what other barber shop can say that!

If you ever get a chance take your kids to get their haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop, okay you don’t have to do the kids, have your hair cut!

  1. I always forget to stop in, one of these trips it will happen. Love Mickey on your hubby. How long does that stay in the Florida heat?

  2. Kelly, His stayed all day and it was pretty hot. Our friends started dripping a little after a few hours, but we just tooks some paper towels and cleaned him up and took off some of the "extra" gel and it lasted the rest of the day.
