Meet Disney Gayle Turner

In 1955, two events happened that changed the world -Disneyland and I were both born. Five children, four grandchildren and millions of visitors later, I am happy to report that Disney and I are still going strong!   Hi, I’m Gayle from beautiful Northern California. I am a mom, Grammy, teacher, director of a free after school theater program and I am a Disney a Holic. I cannot remember a time when Disney was not a part of my life. My first trip to Disneyland was November 1955. I can still vividly see my mom trying to hold me while balancing on her too high for walking heels as we boarded the World Famous Jungle Cruise. To this day, it remains my all-time favorite ride. Someday, when I grow up, I am going to be Captain of the Jungle Boat. To say I’ve been to Disneyland more than a few times would be an understatement.  I can remember the Matterhorn as scaffolding, and a time gone by when the showpiece of Tomorrowland, the TWA Moonliner was the tallest structure in the Park, even taller than Sleeping Beauty Castle. I rode donkeys (yes real, not animatronic) and traveled by stagecoaches pulled by horses through the trails of Frontierland. Disneyland and I have certainly transformed and changed over the last half century, but every time I walk through those magical gates, it’s as though I am experiencing it all for the first time.

Meet Disney Gal Kelly

Hey all!

My name is Kelly and I am from the South side of Chicago, along with my husband, three children, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs and a lazy beagle. It's a loud and crazy house to say the least! I was lucky enough to leave my "real" job as a Financial Analyst to raise our children. Now I have been able to start my own cake business, coach my daughter's softball team, be VP of our middle school PTSA, and talk everyone's ear off about all things Disney.

My obsession with Disney started when I was a preteen and my family drove cross country to Disneyland. I vividly remember standing in a crowd, staring up at the fireworks, when a young boy standing next to me reached over and held my hand. It was pure magic. Even though I have grown up since then, I still find that magic in every visit.

Meet Disney Gal Judy

Hi, I am Judy and I live in Chicago (yes really in Chicago) with my husband Paul and our two rescue dogs Caleb, who kind of reminds us of Pluto (he is a bloodhound) and Claudine who is a Bluetick Coonhound.

I am not sure if my husband knew what he was getting into when we got married, but my love of Disney started when I seven and my family took a cross-country trip in a VW Bus from Chicago to LA and Disneyland! I got to go again when I graduated from 8th grade, because my Uncle lived in southern California.  As I did not have a lot of money back then the only thing I could really afford where a couple of small plates with Mickey Mouse on them.  Then my Grandmother moved to Florida, not too far from Walt Disney World, and we were able to spend summers with her and we would go to Disney and I added to my plate collection.  When we got married our first real vacation together and my husband’s first ever plane ride and vacation not near his home, was to Walt Disney World, and so I now have him “hooked” on Disney too.  We have more than those small plates, but it is also a mutual enjoyment of all things Disney.  We have attended quite a few special events at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World and enjoy taking the tours that are offered at all the parks.  I have helped quite a few people plan there Disney vacations and I am a member of a local moms group and have help quite a few of them too.
