Part Two of Marrying into a Disney Family!

Or our Second Daughter in Law

As you all know by now we have been going to Disney (World and Land) since our boys where little, now I would think that marrying into a Disney family would not be an easy feet if you are not from that “type” of family.  Our first “daughter” Renee, now is somewhat of a pro at it as they have been married for 10 years and she has been on several trips with us, but our newest “daughter” Maggie is just being brought up through the ranks.

Our first trip with Maggie was a couple of years ago and before they got married, but watching her go to Walt Disney World for the first time was like watching Brian (her husband) go for his first time. The anticipation of going and her wondering what it was going to be like was so much fun.  When we finally got there and we went to 1900 Park Fare and she saw Winnie the Pooh, the look on her face was priceless and worth the trip (see you don't have to be 5 to enjoy Disney). It was also very cold when went that December and it was a shock for her to since she is from Texas.  Maggie was even brave enough to go to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, she had the royal treatment! We went with our friends Melissa, Doug their daughter Morgan (who would be their Flower Girl) and Mary Lou (Melissa's Mom).

The second time she went with us, it was trial by fire! We went with some of my family (I have quite a large family, 4 sisters and 2 brothers and between us we have 20 children), this was the first time she would be meeting my parents, my sister Anna and 3 of her 5 children and then my sister Laura and her husband Dan and their two daughters would be coming up for a couple of days.  Along with our friends Melissa, Doug, their daughter Morgan and Mel's mom too!  We all spent a week at Walt Disney World and survived!

Maggie and Brian got married March 10, 2012 and it was a wonderful wedding, and the merging of two new families.  Not long after the wedding they received the news that they would be transferred to a new Air Force Base, Sheppard in Wichita Falls, TX; welcome to being a military wife. This required finding someone to rent the home he owned in Abilene, TX (also finishing up projects that had been stated and not finished (okay his dad had a hand in few of those)) and find somewhere to move to in a new town with three dogs.  They managed to rent their house and find a house to rent near the base and now she is adjusting to a new part of Texas.

We again know how hard it is to come into a family like our, but Maggie took it on like a challenge! We will hopefully have many more trips to Disney with all four of the kids. She has brought a smile to Brian's face that I have not seen in a long time and the two of them work together to make this work, the first years of marriage are the hardest, but now throw in moving as I am sure this did not help, but they are on the right track.

We love you both and miss you too!

I have Since been with my husbands family 3 times and even on the latest trip immediately the tears began to flow as she saw us all in front of the castle for the obligatory picture :)
