Happy Hour! Agave Nectar Margarita Recipe

This is the first in a new "Happy Hour" series that will feature recipes for Walt Disney World cocktails you can make at home!

The Agave Nectar Margarita is one of the standard offerings on the cocktail menu at Disney restaurants and lounges.  A key to its deliciousness is the homemade sweet and sour.  Here's a copycat recipe so you can now enjoy it at home!

Agave Nectar Margarita
Makes 2, 8-oz margaritas

Homemade Sweet and Sour Mix:
5 oz. water
3 oz. blue agave nectar
4 oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. fresh lemon juice

3 oz. (2 shots) silver/blanco/white tequila (I used Patron Silver)

Directions:
Make your sweet and sour by warming the water and blue agave nectar in a saucepan until combined well, refrigerate until chilled through, then add lime and lemon juices.  Then, just add your tequila, pour over ice, garnish with a fresh lime slice, and serve.  Cheers!
