Disney Gal Favorites

Disney Gals Roll Call
Favorite Snack - Magic Kingdom

You're hungry and you're on the go to the next ride or show-what do you grab? You've just staked out your spot for the afternoon parade and you are in need of a quick fix-what's your go to snack item? Luckily for you, you're at the Magic Kingdom where the Disney magic is at it's best and there's something for everyone. We asked our Disney Gals what their favorite Magic Kingdom snacks are:

Tricia: Gotta be ultra-obvious here and go with a Dole Whip from Aloha Isle in Adventureland!! There are about 27 other snacks that are running in at a very close second though. The Mickey Ice Cream Bar and cupcakes (or actually anything) from the Main Street bakery for starters...(mmm...mmm!)

Gayle:  When you're looking for that must have sweet treat, the Churro Cart is where you'll find any and all of the Turners.  Whether it's the one as you walk in to start your day at the end of Main Street or over in Tomorrowland for that late night pick me up, it's Churros for us, extra sugar please!

Heather:  It's a must do on every trip that my husband John and I take to Disney (we even got our 2 year old addicted)...we LOVE stopping at Auntie Gravity's in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom!  We always order a strawberry-banana fruit smoothie!  All smoothies are made with non-fat yogurt and they cost $4.19...however if you are on the Disney Dining plan you can use a snack credit for the smoothie!  These smoothies are so refreshing and delicious!  They are a great way to cool off in the hot Orlando sun!

Kelly: Super simple for my crew, chocolate chip cookies and an ice cold soda from the Main Street Bakery. Of course this goes hand in hand with pulling up some curb and waiting for the parade to start.

Kim: While my husband would vote for the Dole Whip and my son would vote for the churros (he gets one every day when we're in the parks), there's nothing like a piece of fresh fruit or some cut up watermelon on a hot day in the parks.  The natural sugar gives me a little bit of extra energy and they help you stay hydrated.  Plus, I've found that the fruit carts are one of the best values for your money!

Beth: Nothing beats a Dole Whip, but I discovered a close second place on my last trip.  It's a waffle sandwich topped with Nutella and fresh fruit (mine had bananas and strawberries).  These treats are offered at Sleepy Hollow and there are also versions with a spicy chicken patty or ham (though they were sold out of both the afternoon we visited).  Yum!

Laura: I have to agree with all the Dole Whip fans! I had my first one last year (I know, SLACKER) and now I get one every time I go. Popcorn is a close second as are Mickey Ice Cream Bars and cotton candy! I can't really choose. There are so many good snacks!

Judy:  I am sorry but I have to go with the Dole Whip too!  We will walk toward Aloha Isle first thing to get one!  My second would be a Mickey hot pretzel with cheese.

Now that you know what some of our all time favorite treats at the Magic Kingdom are, join in and let us know what your go to snacks are!

  1. Must admit that if it's a sit down kind of snack, the funnel cake with strawberries and whipped cream is right up there! And sorry to say, that I must be the only person on the planet that does not really like the Dole Whip....sad but true

  2. You are not alone Gayle. I don't really care for the Dole Whip....I will take a taste or two from a family member but don't think I could ever eat an entire one myself....just don't like it enough!
